Grace and Salvation
Salvation is one of the very roots of our Christian faith. To be a Christian, you have to believe that Jesus died for our sins, and did rise from the dead, and for that matter, we believe in eternal salvation.
A very good summary of this whole topic, is the familiar bible passage John 3:15-16; "For God loved the world so much that he gave gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not die but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its saviour."

However, there is a slight difference in how Catholics and Protestants see salvation. In this topic I will try to shed some light on how the Catholic Church teaches about Salvation, and why it's seen very important.
