My name is Katie-Rose, and it’s a pleasure to welcome you here to learn more about the Catholic faith.
A bit about me – I live and work in Sydney, Australia, I’ve been a Catholic all of my life and I have always loved putting my creativity into all my work!

I have always loved to write. I always tell people, from the moment that I could hold a pencil, I was writing short stories, (okay, maybe I’m exaggerating a little, however it is true that I was beginning to write from a young age.) I have always wanted to educate people through making resources, and I love that I could make this resource for you to understand more about the Church.
​
Discovering the beauty of the Bible changed my life. If you asked me what is my one all-time favourite Bible verse, I wouldn't know as there are so many that I hold so deeply. However, One of the verses that I love and hope to stick by, comes from one of the Deuterocanonical Books, Sirach. The passage reads, "Devote all your time to studying the Lord's commands and thinking about them. He will give you the insight and wisdom you are looking for."

The Gospel of Matthew, chapter 16, is another passage that I love in the Bible. This chapter inspired me to use it as the name of this website, as the intention is to help focus our knowledge on the true Catholic Church, which is still living and thriving 2,000 years after our Lord Jesus established it.

Catholics take Matthew 16 literally when Jesus says to Peter, “I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven”, He was entrusting Peter with the leadership of the Church on Earth, as the first Pope.
​
I wanted to create a resource to help teach the Catholic faith through the perspective of Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition and to clear up misconceptions that non-Catholic Christians and some Catholics may have about the Catholic faith. My aim was to incorporate traditional church beliefs in an easy and relatable way, as I understand that for some people, traditional values and beliefs can come across a bit old and cold. The information on this website is aimed at individuals who are already believers in Christ; however, any person of any non-Christian faith or from a non-religious background is welcome to use this website to gain knowledge about the Catholic Church and its teachings.
